On the way to Torremolinos
Before the meeting
During the weekend the French, Italian and Bulgarian teams arrived in Spain. The Spanish group took this opportunity to show then some typical places.
Monday, 5th November
Opening ceremony. On the first day of the work week the members of EMSL Erasmus+ project were received by local authorities and the headmaster of IES Playamar at “Pablo Ruíz Picasso” Centre in Torremolinos. Students presented the companies they had been working on during the first year of our project.
Workshop: Marketing and branding
Students attended a workshop on Marketing and Branding and how to use social media in your company. The speakers were the British entrepreneurs Paul Read and Cherry Jeffs.
Workshop: Coaching in education
During the first day of the meeting teachers attended a workshop on Coaching for Education. The speaker were the Spanish teacher Ignacio García.
At IES Playamar they have been using coaching to help their students for years.

Tuesday, 6th November
Workshop: Art and Entrepreneurship. On Tuesday we had a workshop on “Art and Entrepreneurship: The importance of creativity”. The speakers were the artists Alberto Cortés and Emmanuel Lafont.
Emmanuel Lafont explained the importance of creativity in Art and Entrepreneurship.
After the conference students had the opportunity of being creative to promote our EMSL ERASMUS+ project.
Wednesday, 7th November
On Tuesday students attended a workshop on online surveys to compile data. They use this knowledge to analyse tourism in Granada during their visit to the city of Granada.
The day started with a guided visit to The Alhambra prepared by the Spanish students.
Thursday, 8th November
Sharing good practices. Gender equality at IES Playamar
We started on Thursday with a conference about Gender equality and diversity. The speaker was Francisco García coordinator of the programme at IES Playamar.
Teachers and students learnt about how at IES Playamar they promote equality and diversity.
This is the presentation used to explain how Gender Equality is a priority at IES Playamar.
Visit to “Andalucía Emprende”
On thursday we visited the offices of Andalucía Emprende in Benalmádena. This governmental organization helps entrepreneurs to start their business.
We were received by the Youth Councilwoman of Benalmádena.
We also visited a Business Incubator and talked with several entrepreneurs who shared their experience with the students
Workshop: The business model “Canvas”
We attended a workshop on the business model CANVAS. Students analysed the companies they are creating in this project using CANVAS business model.
Friday, 9th November
On the last day of our meeting students presented their work during the week. After that we visited Málaga centre. Some of the activities carried out there were:
- Walk on “Gibralfaro”
- Visit to Málaga Museum. Learning about the history of the city.
- Treasure Hunt: Discovering the history of the city using an app created by the
- Spanish Teacher Alfonso Lobato with the help of Spanish students involved in the project.
We worked hard during the week but we also had time to enjoy the local gastronomy and discover beautiful places.
Some outcomes of the work done during and after the meeting
After the shared week our students were full of new knowledge and new experiences. During one of the workshops we worked on the use of video as a diffusion element in a company.
Our students wanted to summarize part of their experience in this mobility using this channel. Here you can see some of their work.
